Jeff Bezos – CEO & Founder at Amazon

In April 1994 at the age of 31, Jeff Bezos, decides to leave the vice presidency in a Wall Street firm, and focus on realizing his vision of a website where to offer a catalog of books online where the different publications of the publishers were compiled and through which the public could search for the books available within a stock, to finally buy them directly through the Internet. Amazon.com (originally under the name cadabra.com), had its start in the garage of the rented house of Jeff and his wife in the city of Seattle, and only three servers with which they began to process the information of the site.

In September 2018, Amazon becomes the second company (after Apple) to be valued by Wall Street in one billion US dollars. Today it has a value of 110.7 billion dollars (2019), offering services that go far beyond the online book store with which it all began.
